Do you hate Denmark, Morocco and Somalia? – A 1-minute thought experiment and a self-test.

According to official Danish statistics, people of Somalian and Moroccan origin are convicted of attempted murder at substantially higher rates than native Danes—approximately 15 times and 14 times higher, respectively (source). They also have a net fiscal cost to Danish taxpayers measured in billions of euros (source).

Now consider this hypothetical scenario.

If all Somali and Moroccan immigrants and their descendants voluntarily returned to their countries of origin, Denmark would save billions of euros in public spending and violent crime victims in Denmark would be significantly reduced, saving many native Dane lives.

Suppose Denmark then redirected €1 billion of those savings as development aid to Somalia and Morocco. Those countries could benefit from additional investment, while Denmark would still retain many billions of euros that could instead be spent on pensions, support for young families, healthcare, education, or other national priorities.

Under this scenario, Denmark could become safer and financially stronger, while Somalia and Morocco could also receive significant economic support.
